Celebrating their tenth year, Enlighten Adelaide Festival is uniting local businesses and the community in a celebration of wellness, relaxation and self-care in the heart of the CBD at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of May.
Festival Director, Sue Shaw, is committed to providing a welcoming environment where attendees can learn from South Australian based practitioners about how to take care of their own health and well-being and have more energy and balance in their lives.
“We are excited to feature a range of professionals from various fields who will be offering expert advice, products and services. Over half of the stalls are already sold out so we have limited spaces left for those looking to get involved.
“The festival presents a fantastic opportunity to connect with likeminded people and learn about natural remedies in order to make healthier choices and live a happier life,” says Sue Shaw.
The two-day festival will include a number of interactive experiences including a Day Spa area where attendees can enjoy massages, reiki energy healing and other modalities in a private setting. There will also be a variety of complimentary workshops and presentations in the ‘Workshop Room’ and yoga and meditation in the ‘Come and Try Zone’.
“Our aim is not only to educate people about healing processes and how they can bring calm into their lives naturally, but also to conquer any misconceptions surrounding alternative therapies. Visitors can rest assured only reputable and qualified practitioners will be showcasing at the festival as we are dedicated to raising the bar for our industry,” says Sue Shaw.
In addition to the wide range of exhibitors, a variety of local musicians will be performing throughout the weekend courtesy of Shanti Sound. The festival will also feature a broad selection of food at the Festival Café, a barista station and a selection of healthy, gluten-free, raw treats.
“We are also excited to bring back the Kids Creative Corner, which was a great success last year. With henna tattooing, story time meditation and craft activities, the little ones will be entertained for hours,” says Sue Shaw.
The festival will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 10am – 6pm on Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 May 2019. Tickets are $15 for a one-day pass or $20 for a two-day pass and children under 15 years old are free.
