Newenham has Donated $180,000 to The Crows Children’s Foundation
Burke Urban are proud to announce that $180,000 worth of proceeds from the sale of Lot 6 at their Newenham development in Mount Barker will be donated to the Crows Children’s Foundation in South Australia.
Purchasers of the block of land, Aromel and Priya, are proud that their new home will help the Adelaide Crows Children’s Foundation raise and distribute funds for sick and disadvantaged children across the country through health, education and welfare programs.
Burke Urban Managing Director Kym Burke is humbled by the thought of helping those in need through such a wonderful charity. Over the past six years, Burke Urban and its related joint venture partners have donated in excess of $450,000 from previous allotment sales within their developments to the Crows Junior Development Program, with an additional $180,000 now donated to the Crows Children’s Foundation.
“We are thrilled we have been able to assist the Crows Children’s Foundation to meet their charter to help kids in need. I have been a fan of the football club since their inception and have had a long history with Variety the Children’s Charity. Burke Urban truly believe that, in creating communities, we also need to give back to community and there is no more worthy cause than disadvantaged children.
“Our project, Newenham in the Adelaide Hills, has been designed to support the health, happiness, and wellbeing of our community, and being able to give back to a charity close to South Australia’s heart ensures disadvantaged kids are also healthy and happy, fitting perfectly with our project’s values.”
Adelaide Football Club CEO Andrew Fagan believes that this donation will impact greatly on the young people supported by the Crows Children’s Foundation.
“The Crows Children’s Foundation aims to use the power of football to positively influence young people and build stronger communities for them to thrive in. It has been great to partner with a business like Burke Urban whose values align with our own. We know this contribution will make a big effect on the lives of children throughout South Australia.”
Lot 6 is a picturesque block of land situated in Stage 2 of Newenham’s Botanic Release. This superb corner allotment is located directly across the road from a peaceful reserve. It is the fourth land donation Burke Urban and their partners have made to the Adelaide Crows over the past six years, with previous land being donated from Black Point and Aruma River Resort.
Newenham is a 150-hectare, 750 home, master-planned community developed by Burke Urban and will become home to some 2000 residents over the next 10 years.
