In the wise words of Ms.Clavel  ‘gather around les enfants’, because we have to fill you in on a superb array of kiddo friendly events on during the Adelaide French Festival.  The inaugural festival is presented by the Adelaide Festival Centre(AFC) and will run from 12-14 January 2018.

This festival is a celebration of all things French across food, wine, fashion, music, performance, fine arts and so much more. Below are some Adelaide French Festival highlights for kids and families. We’ve also included a few sneaky events worth getting a baby sister for, Il n’y a pas de quoi (you’re welcome)!

So Frenchy So Chic in the Park

Wine. Dine. Dance at Sunset! So Frenchy So Chic (SFSC) is a summer festival of pleasures. It is a party, a picnic, a celebration of life and culture – the Frenchy Way

Gather your friends for a warm night’s aperitif in the French village-like setting at the picturesque Pinky Flat. An intimate eve of conviviality, with simple delights, dancing, artisans, and locally-sourced cuisine – all set to the eclectic sounds of France’s hottest musicians: Féfé, Juniore, General Elektriks and L.E.J.

Let the kids embrace their inner-Monet at the Little Picasso Class or build their own cardboard Napoleon empire at Box Wars.

Alternately, leave the kids at home and try a FREE adult workshop. Hang up the beret and try your hand at creating your own flower crown! You’ll be the bell of the ball at the next outdoor event. You can also freshen up your French and your flexibility during a French yoga class.

A French Weekend at Carrik Hill

Carrik Hill is one of South Australia’s most valuable historical assets; a window into Adelaide’s past. At A French Weekend at Carrik Hill enjoy a weekend of French-inspired free and low-cost activities at this unique estate including pétanque, art and language classes, Baroque music, classic cars and themed catering.
