Bowerbird, Adelaide’s leading design event returns to the Adelaide Showgrounds from 7 – 9 May, presenting some of Australia’s most exciting designers and brands.  Both local and interstate creatives will once again come together at this curated event.

Enjoy three days of great art, design, artisan food and craft beverages when this much-loved biannual event returns.

160+ established, new and emerging designers

Just in time for Mother’s Day there will be a large selection of brands across a wide range of products;  accessories, skincare, stationery, clothing, art, homewares, jewellery, kids’ toys and pantry treats; with over 160 designers and a third of them new or emerging, there’s something for everyone!

Director of Bowerbird Peggy Byrne is delighted to be presenting the next event with an extensive range of designers,

“Bowerbird is a great opportunity to gather with friends and family to support the creative small business community who have just come off a very unique year.  2020 allowed so many to spend more time creating and we’re thrilled to be able to showcase these wonderful Australian designers and makers. A big part of the Bowerbird experience is that it also allows people to take the time to chat to the designers, discover their stories and feel their passion.  Our lineup for May looks fantastic with some of our favourites returning and other new exciting brands.”

Supporting local designers

Supporting local designers is something Bowerbird loves to do and launching at the next event will be the fun and colourful street inspired SA clothing brand Urban Goat. Also from SA is The Craft Kit sharing their passion for craft and Valerie and Bob’s ethical and sustainable linen clothing hand made here in Adelaide by a mother and daughter team.

Made in the NSW Blue Mountains My Menagerie creates handmade soft toys and cuddly felt pieces inspired by animals and Appleye Jewellery Designs use traditional metal smith methods to create pieces inspired by the NSW South Coast surrounds. Marrying sustainability, comfort and movement is Overland Studio Tasman clothes, suitable for any occasion and our friends in Queensland from Pixie Linen will be bringing their beautiful children’s sleepwear and bed linen.
