Kiddo’s Adelaide Party Venue Guide

kiddo adelaide kids party guide

Look, we’re all friends here, you can be real with us… say it out loud and get it off your chest.

Organising kids’ birthday parties can be terrifying. Putting together the Pinterest party of our child’s dream doesn’t come naturally to all of us!

That’s why kids’ birthday parties can strike equal parts excitement and fear for us parents… excitement because our precious little one has grown so much and is about to celebrate another wonderful spin around the sun.

But also…fear! Because that means one thing: a party. Which (if our birthday mathematics is correct) equals TWO things: mess + stress.

We want to eliminate all of that with…

Kiddo’s Ultimate Adelaide Party Venue Guide!!

There are so many amazing birthday party options in Adelaide, your biggest problem will be settling on just one!

Now, go and get to it and plan your kiddo the incredible party they deserve!

Kiddo’s Adelaide Kids’ Party Venue Guide

bowerbird design market 2020

We asked Peggy about what we can expect to see come November at Bowerbird Design Market.

Peggy can you tell us a bit about what it’s like taking over such a well known event / business in Adelaide?

Bowerbird has felt like a really good fit for me from the start, I’m very passionate about supporting small business and, in particular, creative endeavours. Bowerbird is more than an event, it’s a showcase of the Australian design community, which is an honour to be representing. Everyone has made me feel very welcome for which I am so grateful.

new bowerbird owner peggy byrne

New Bowerbird owner, Peggy Byrne

What can everyone expect to see at the Bowerbird market in November?

People can expect the same calibre of super talented designers and creators as we have presented in the past. We will be announcing our designer line-up mid October but you’ll find some returning favourites and some amazing new products and emerging designers. A strong SA presence as always, complimented by interstate brands showcasing everything from clothing to ceramics, something for the home, for the kids, beauty products, jewellery and a host of delicious food and drinks outlets of course.

bowerbird design market new owner

Can you give us a snapshot of some of the brands that will be there with kids in mind and a few things for the mums to enjoy?

We have a suite of new emerging artists at the November event; Miniz by Me creates beautiful dolls houses that can be packed up into a vanity case, they all have a different style and are handmade.

ANiMOZ is a fun and educational trading card game about Australia’s incredible wildlife and the dangers they face.

Some returning favourites include; Fede – who create gorgeous kids clothing and Fleeci who hand make kids soft toys.

And wonderful new designers; al.ive body – the new body care range recently launched by Alisa and Lysandra (of The Block), Appleye Jewellery Designs – simple and stylish jewellery and Dean Toepfer who’ll be bringing his very cool new product Vase Versa.

Urth Clay Studio Holiday Sessions

Kids have wild imaginations. Urth Clay Studio is a place where children can explore their creativity. They can submerge their hands in the mud to reach places that regular conversations won’t allow. The goal is to build self-confidence, trigger curiosity and allow the artistic flair to bloom from each child.

Urth Clay Studio allows children to do this in a fun, safe and creative way and offers school holidays once-off sessions.

Kids will create an object during the session, decorate it and colour it. Urth Clay Studio will process the item and fire it to make it food safe and item will be ready for pick up 3 weeks later.

Kids will have a small picnic outdoors during the session.

The times when they were exhausted by the end of the day because of non stop adventuring, running, jumping, climbing and yes, maybe even falling.

Without a Nintendo Switch or Netflix account in sight.
